Spring Garden Troy

02/02/24 - I ordered delivery that totaled $26. I gave the woman on the phone detailed delivery instructions, as I live at a large community, Starbuck Island. I was told delivery would be one hour. When the driver called to say he was here after 35 mins, I was cool with that, so I went down to the south entrance that I specifically told. The driver was at the north entrance. Very inconvenient. Then after explaining to a very polite driver the delivery instructions and handed him $40. He did not have change. All he had was twenties. What delivery driver doesn't carry small bills. My $26 doller order cost me $40. One hell of a tip. I'm very upset about this. Not how a delivery business should be managed.

Unfortunately it is very clear Spring Garden is under new management/ownership. The friendly and pleasant employees you would normally see are no longer there along with the cute decorations and words of affirmation. The vibe is completely different and the girl in the front wasn't really friendly. I knew something was off with the place just from my interaction with her. The food is not as great as it once was. Not as flavorful and crispy. I would drive here from Schenectady just for their General Tso's. It is no longer worth the drive. All good things come to an end I suppose. I must say I did like their crab rangoons and their homemade lemonade at least.

The Spring Garden has been in Troy for many years. In my opinion, they have the best Chinese food in the area.

The food is always fresh & amazing!! Best Chinese in the area!

Place is the best in the tri state area. Nothing more to say.

Consistently delicious take-out Chinese food

I moved recently and decided to try this place out. Omg! Hidden gem! Their pork fried rice is the best I've had around here and they make really good tofu. They only have 1 tofu dish on the menu but they are willing to make other versions if you ask. I asked for tofu with garlic sauce. Very good! I also tried the general tsos chicken, very good too. Their chinese donuts are delicious as well and it was a generous portion. They also included a sweet little thank you note. Great service. It looked like they get very busy around dinner time, I can see why! Great little takeout place. I will be back over and over again. My new go to. Pickup was quick even though we went on a busy Saturday night. Their phone was ringing constantly. Vegetarian options: They have tofu dishes on the menu but they are also willing to do custom orders, for example I ordered tofu with garlic sauce even though it's not a menu item. I am sure they would do General Tsos tofu or Orange Tofu or whatever you like. Friendly service. Quick takeout.

Will NEVER order from spring gardens again. 50 dollars wasted on them. I order the same thing every time. I called this time because there's a problem & and get told " why I always do this " like what lady. I don't even order Chinese food like that. So she gives me other order but there's only one order. Where is the other order? Call back and the person who answered the phone was rude. She hung up on me. Currently waiting on the manager to call me back.
