Spicy Boys Fried Chicken

Just as amazing as the other location. I think the nugs are the best deal, but the sandwiches are all good too. Spicy nugs were my uncle's favorite food of all the stuff he had during his week visiting Austin.

I should have known better after we were told twice we could order on their iPad instead of waiting for someone to take our order. We were still deciding on what we wanted so didn’t mind waiting. It was just okay for us. The chicken had decent flavor and heat but no crunch at all. It was actually pretty soggy. The papaya salad helped to make the meal enjoyable. The tots were tots.

We came for the crawfish because we love their fried chicken. Showed up right at 1PM when the music started and got through the line in about 30 minutes. Had enough time to split off and grab a drink from St. Elmo before getting our food. Found a quiet spot inside to eat. There was a line at the bar too but it moved quick with 3-4 bartenders rotating registers.

I had Spicy Boys for the first time while traveling to Austin in 2023. I thought about that chicken so many times after I got home. I tried to find a chicken sandwich or any chicken that came close to that good. I couldn't. I just went back and yet again, it was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Everything is perfect. The bread, the chicken, the sauce, the papaya relish, etc. Nothing compares.

Fantastic place with amazing food. Spicy, and delicious. Can't go wrong. I like spict, but I went with the a 2 out of 3 on heat. It was very spicy and good. The guys were so nice too. Can't recommend enough.
