Definitely Not the best cool staff

I was super excited to try this place. The cook was super kind and remade my blackeye peas but it was still not fully cooked My waiter was subpar and the other waiter and the cook took better care of me than he did.

Stopped by after getting a referral from a worker on the Green Line. I'm from the South, so to get an experience of our food up North was cool. The food wasn't seasoned as we do, but it was okay! I would recommend because the customer service and atmosphere is very nice.

Southern food in New England, sign me up! Definitely a great choice for a taste of the south. The fried chicken was amazing, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The collard greens were pretty good, I wished they used smoked turkey but nonetheless still pretty good. I loved the Mac n cheese, velveeta was a great addition. The grits were more like polenta, not our favorite and that’s what my bf was most excited about. I hated the chai espresso martini lol not my thing I guess but three of us ordered it and wasn’t feeling it. I would definitely recommend though, order the fried chicken plate or chicken and waffles and you won’t go wrong.

Both meals were 11/10! Price was right. Not from the area but will come back.
