very bad experience.... As a person who never tried a Mexican food, the staff who stand on the topping area was so rude. After I want to asked what toppings I can choose and don't know how to pronounce it, the man flipped his eyes and sigh. On the contrary, the lady who is a cashier, is a very nice person. Never want to go to this restaurant again.
Hi! I love the food at this place the person who cook the food knows what is he doing. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable and the guacamole is the specialty of the house, 100% avocado not mixed with sour cream as they do in other places. The only downside of Sombrero Chiquito is that one person does all the roles “Cooker, cashier, server, packing etc” when at other restaurants the is a ridiculous amount of people doing each task, maybe this restaurant doesn’t need a huge amount employees because it’s small but at least 2 or a better system to have all customer pleased with one person doing all the job. FOOD IS DELICIOUS
Definitely open, but the guy says he’s not open? Might want to adjust the hours.
So I tried this place a few months back and I took one bite and gave it to a homeless guy. However I decided to give it a 2nd shot. I must say very impressed. The guacamole and rice needs more flavor but overall the rice bowl was on point. There was only one guy working (which I feel is a little bit of abuse especially were this is located in the heart of symphony & Berkelee College.) The line was out the door and the guy was handling online orders, in store orders and ringing them up. He deserves a raise for real! He did all of this with such ease and greeted us all with a smile.
Everything is so good here. If you’re searching for mexican right now, go here
This place is my go to for Mexican food. Make sure you go before the noted closing time on goggle because food runs out!!
The most excellent rice bowl of my life
Best Mexican food in Boston!! Hands down. And I grew up on Mexican food, I know. Every dish is fantastic and unique and you can taste the care and good ingredients that go into it. The spices are incredible. We go here regularly, AND they catered our engagement party and knocked it out of the park. All the guests raved about the food the entire evening. Vegetarian options: Falafel and tofu are good options. Dietary restrictions: They have food for just about every dietary restriction.
