Brisket was dry but sausage was good. Completely disappointed by the sides. The green beans were stringy, the potato salad had too much going on, and the greens were cold. I did appreciate the place being very clean and the staff was attentive. Next time I’ll try other meats and sides.
My Brisket and Chicken was drier than my current love life!! As i was cracking more jokes than eating i was hit with the realization that " i just wasted my money. " Oh well the mac and cheese tastes great but was cold... my sausage was edible. The bread was definitely giving more flavor than anything else .. Like, Would it hurt to add some onion powder, SAZON, basil, garlic...or salt!! Maybe not the meat BUT ATLEAST THE SAUCE!!! Reminds me why i hate trying new things sometimes ♀️ very depressing... The jokes Is why I'm leaving 2 stars.
Drove 40 minutes across town, arrived at 8:05pm and website/google hours shows they close at 9pm. Got here and they are cleaning and said they’re closed. I told them the hours say 9pm - why are y’all closed already? Lady shrugs and says “We just closed at 8 today.” Incredibly disappointed I came all this way from work, craving BBQ, and they decide to close an hour early just because they felt like it, despite their hours of close showing 9pm.
We're from another state and of course had to have bbq while visiting Texas. We came here because it was near us and had good reviews. I was a tad skeptical at first because the exterior is a bit run down and the parking lot isn't great. The inside is about the same. But the food was amazing! We picked a random BBQ spot and it was better than any BBQ we have back home. I had pulled pork and brisket. Both were moist and full of flavor. The potato salad was awesome. The spicy corn was good, but I personally could take it or leave it. My husband ordered the same, but had fried okra, which he said was good. The BBQ sauce on the table was perfect, kind of tangy how I like it. They also had a small counter with onions, pickles, jalepeños, and some kind of vinegar/mustard sauce that went great with the pulled pork. I saved my roll and had a pork sandwich the next morning with some of that sauce and it was so good. The kids ordered fries and tenders, which were fine, but honestly it looks like they need to change the fryer oil. I personally would stick with the BBQ meats. The atmosphere isn't great, but it's cozy and casual. I definitely recommend this place for good BBQ and decent prices. You order at the counter, not at the table, so be ready for that!
Phenomenal brisket and pulled pork, we loved everything.
Great vibe with decent Texas BBQ. Brisket decent, well marbled, and tender. Sauce available for non-Texans & other meats. Turkey delicious. Potato salad was akin to a loaded potato in a bowl.
I had the 1 meat plate with smoked turkey, spicy creamed corn, and potato salad. The turkey was ok - a little dry. The potato salad was a loaded baked potato in a cup. My husband had the 2 meat plate with sausage and marbled brisket along with okra and potato salad. The sausage was good. The brisket was tender.
