If you're in the mood for an exceptional steakhouse experience, this place should definitely be on your radar. The highlight, without a doubt, is their porterhouse steak – it's cooked to perfection and truly amazing. However, it's worth noting that our initial impression was slightly marred by the bread basket, which was unexpectedly cold, almost as if it had been stored in a fridge. Although it was a bit odd, and their explanation that they serve bread cold was surprising, they were accommodating when we raised the issue and warmed the bread, which then tasted fantastic. Despite this small hiccup, the overall atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.
I’ve been to the location is Vegas. The Vegas menu is better and has their signature flying tomahawk. But this NY location is still high class and has all the essentials . The bone in rib eye was top notch . The mushrooms were to die for . I would have loved to have dessert but was so full lol . Service was great would happily come back .
Absolutely delectable food! We loved the carrot cake as well as the Prime Rib which was more than enough for three ladies. The wedge salad was divine and everything else we had was simply delicious.
Our group had a great time at Smith & Wollensky. The unlimited wine pouring with four different options and the delicious three-course meal made for a wonderful experience. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor. Even the leftovers were still juicy! The service was incredibly efficient and made our large group feel welcomed. The generous desserts at the end of the meal were the perfect way to end the evening. However, the only downside was the behavior of some of the customers on the night we were there. Many people got drunk and behaved inappropriately for a classy steakhouse.
Disappointed with the steak, and felt like a conveyor belt approach to service. I wanted it medium well and waiter tried to force medium rare. Steak was swimming in soup and undercooked for my liking. Potatoes were luke warm. While waiter was nice, he didn’t ask what I thought of my meal and just assumed it was good. Honestly better steak houses in Manhattan. In fact the breakfast steak I had in The Smith was nicer. I would avoid this place.
The food was overall excellent. The appetizers were incredible (both the calamari and the thick cut bacon). The steak was a bit under seasoned, but the sides were all good (especially the whipped potatoes and the Brussels sprouts). The desserts were superb. Everyone at the table had a different one. I loved the coconut cake with mango ice cream. It felt like I was on vacation in the tropics. I would definitely come back for the food, but the service was top-notch. Our waiter attended us in such a friendly and with attention to detail that it elevated the experience.
Great spot for a group and the food is fantastic.
