I highly recommend this place. They don't have done-in, so it's great if you're just looking for take-out. They're very pleasant, and it's tasty food when you're looking to satisfy a craving, like me today! I didn't rate atmosphere because there is no dine-in and it's cold in here.
Two times I’ve ordered from this place and both times I’ve had problems. Once I asked for my food to be made not spicy and it was. The second time food was missing and they would not replace the items.
I really want to like this local takeout spot because it’s nearby and they do in-house delivery. However, it’s probably the worst Chinese takeout I’ve ever had in my life.
Sidewok is one of my favorite restaurants- the food is always fresh, delivered or ready for pickup promptly, and every order I've ever placed has been correct. The people that run this restaurant are also a major plus- the woman who answers the phone and handles to-go orders is so sweet and friendly, and Sam, who delivers orders always stops to say hello and check-in in addition to dropping off the food. There is little better than knowing you are supporting a family-owned neighborhood gem, but I also can't say enough about the many vegetarian and vegan options here- their sesame vegetarian chicken is the standard by which I measure all others- they use a homemade meat substitute in this and their other veggie dishes and the flavor and texture is spot on, with a delicious, tangy sesame sauce. My husband loves the BBQ vegetarian pork fried rice, and we've turned my non-vegetarian in-laws on to the pad Thai, which is delicious and saucy without being gummy. Other highlights are the spicy kung fu tofu appetizer, which is a lot like salt and pepper tofu, hot and sour soup, which has gotten me through a couple colds already this winter, and the pure depth and thoughtfulness of the veggie/vegan menu. Sidewok is truly a great neighborhood restaurant, especially if you're at least mildly curious about veggie substitutes. But we order from here for our meat-eating family and friends, too, and they have always enjoyed it as well. Vegetarian options: Try the vegetarian sesame chicken and kung fu tofu appetizer if you can handle a little spice! Dietary restrictions: Their homemade veggie meat substitutes (for chicken, pork, beef, shrimp) are delicious and well-thought out. They also make excellent tofu!
This place has Amazing pad thai! Try the chicken & shrimp Pad Thai & the cream cheese wontons! I only wish they had dine-in & a better parking lot, but they have pick-up and delivery. Try 'em!
