I had an excellent experience at this place for my daughter’s birthday party .Very good candy and amazing ice cream.
Friendly staff/owner, and the grasshopper pie flavor ice cream is my new favorite, amazing.
A family favorite for decades.
I would shut it down and move. If your community is trying to hurt you, why should you care about said community? The police don't care. The government doesn't care. Stop funding them. Yes... YOU fund them.
Adorable ice cream shop. Great decorations and feel. Good ice cream. Great staff.
This place is the "crown jewel" of the neighborhood. It's a place to visit after dinner, no dinner, when on a stroll, or as a destination. It's a bright and friendly and the ice cream is delicious. This place makes West Portal a nicer place to visit.
Seems a little costly... A small milkshake was nine bucks and the jelly Belly were stuck together :-( Edited - it was couple weeks ago. We were driving though on a trip to the coast. Thanks for checking the beans!
As someone with a dairy sensitivity, I'm used to having a lot of sorbet. A *lot* of sorbet. But Shaw's serves sorbet that even the ice-cream-friendly should seek out, and they're very community-minded. The fact that they've lasted a century in business says it all.
We did our kid 8th b day fun activities here and we couldn’t be happier how much fun the kids had. My daughter wanted to do candy making session and she selected unicorn bark and gummy bear. I was surprised how delicious they were and of course the kids had blast , making them . After candy making class , each kid got ice cream with lots of sprinkles and chocolate which obviously made them so happy ( and hyper) . If you are struggles to find fun activities for kid b day party , I highly recommend this place.
