Shannon's Seafood Kitchen

We previously reviewed Shannon's and gave a great review. We felt we needed to update the former review because it was a completely different experience. We ordered two seafood meals. So I went to go pick up our food. I went to the front desk to pick up and pay. The women who was upfront had me wait for at least 2 to 3 minutes to grab my order. She kept stalling and handing out silverware, looking out the windows and just being strange. Then she literally kept measuring each condiment that came with the order. It was ridiculous. Like she was personally invested in each cup . Then the portions were barely what they used to be? I dont know if that was because of her or there's now portion control. We've been eating there for some time now. But with that whole experience, I doubt if well ever be back. And maybe get rid of that associate!?

Fried green tomatoes mm..mmm. Dirty French fries made with roast beef so so good. Large portions so had lunch next day also.

This is a mom and pop type of business that has great food! I love the platters with oysters, shrimp, and soft crabs.. The greens are delicious! The people are soooo nice and personable!

Love the fried oysters. Nothing tops them.

Never levè hungry

Everyone is very friendly. The catfish and Mahi Grits are good. The flounder may have been slightly over-fried.

There were four of us. We had 2 mullet plates, a shrimp po boy, and a shrimp plate. The shrimp plate had enough shrimp to eat and still have a doggie bag. The mullet plates had plenty of fish. The po boy was overflowing with shrimp. My favorite thing was the hot and crispy fries. I also liked the cucumber and tomato salad. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience. We were all very satisfied with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
