The food here was amazing. they have great potions I was surprised buy the amount of chow mien they gave me and still finished it all. and the wonton soup amazing I just wished they gave you can open for bigger portions cause I wanted more after mines were all gone. will be back soon.
去年10月底从多伦多去的,多伦多的中餐水平不管怎么说都是北美前三吧,但是没有一家上海点心店可以和他比肩!北美每个上海人都应该来试试
Wasn't expecting much out of this, but it completely blew us away. The prices were great for the quality and size portions you got. We had the Nanxiang Soup Dumplings (soup INSIDE the dumpling). Phenomenal. Period. Tasted like an authentic dumpling. We also had the Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Buns. The consistency of the fried bun bottom held the soup great. The pork was cooked perfect. The mini wonton soup had tiny shrimp in it that added a crunch that was needed. The wonton are indeed mini, but the levels of flavor they have made the dish worth it. We were going to stop there. But after eating the previous items, we ordered the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. These were a great summer taste that was fresh and refreshing. Will add this into our normal eating out rotation
The cashier (maybe the owner?) is from Shanghai. I can’t wait to try this restaurant out as I am from Shanghai and I miss the Shanghainese food so much! However, the food is so so. The bottom of pan fried pork buns are too thick. The flavor of the green onion oil noodles is very light and on the too sweet side. The deep fried pork chop has way too much batter. Well, I guess since there is no competition in this market, I can’t ask for too much.
This place is definitely over hyped. The menu on Sunday's is limited. Food was ok, and not what we expected. The soup dumplings were not good- more like microwave / reheated. Rice was extremely saturated in oil.... it was so quite in there you could hear a pin drop and staff did NOT check in not once.
