We got the Shan dong chicken - loved it! Large portions, packed well, flavorful, will definitely get it again

We’ve been ordering take out from this place for years but finally dined in tonight. The take out is fantastic, but there is something special about eating the food fresh from the kitchen! Even my 4 year old loved it and kept asking for more chicken & noodles. Sesame noodles & green beans are our faves! Kid-friendliness: The staff was sweet to my son. Brought him a fork because he can’t use chopsticks yet and made sure the food wasn’t too spicy for him. We’ll be back for sure.

This was the best Chinese food I've had in my life. They make their own noodles. Get the chow mein, special noodles, and their house dumplings. So good!

This is my favourite chinese restaurant. Everyone kept telling me that the best chinese food can be found here and this exceeded my expectations. The hand made noodles are incredible. and everything else is so delicious. Service was also really fast and friendly. I loved this place. Also as a vegan, there were so many options. This photo shows all vegan food.

The Shan Dong restaurant was a great find. We had to queue outside but this meant that we could watch the hand made noodles being made... We order the house special dumplings, the sesame noodle, the meat sauce noodles and the ginger beef. We had a lot of leftovers from three hungry people. The weakest dish was the meat sauce noodles, but the others were excellent. This was the best food that we have had visiting Oakland and the cheapest meal that we had! We will be coming back!

They make great food.
