Sen Sakana

I recently visited Sen Sakana with high hopes for a delightful evening of fine dining. While the food mostly met expectations, the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were met with resistance when requesting to be seated away from the center. After some back-and-forth, we were reluctantly accommodated with an air of attitude. Despite arriving promptly at 6:55 PM, our order wasn't taken until 7:40 PM, resulting in an extended wait time. While most of us enjoyed our drinks, one friend encountered an issue and requested a replacement, only to be met with unwelcoming reluctance from the waitress. Furthermore, when a simple request to substitute cheese on a burger was made, it was met with a dismissive "cheese or no cheese" response. When the burger arrived overcooked despite being ordered medium rare, we didn't bother sending it back after the response we received when attempting to switch our drink. Despite the commendable quality of the food, for a restaurant of this caliber, one rightfully anticipates attentive and accommodating service, which unfortunately was sorely lacking. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the disappointing service significantly detracted from the overall experience, leaving us questioning the value of our visit. When paying over $100 per person, diners rightly expect a seamless blend of exceptional cuisine and impeccable service.

Unbelievable experience ! Every single dish, so flavorful tasty done the perfection perfectly balanced flavors amazing textures, and above all great service! Thx to our amazing waiter saul for the great advice very knowledgeable on the menu! Everything he recommended was perfect!

Always happy here. Food & service are always above and beyond. We got lucky and were given a table in the very back room and we were alone. It was like a private room and we loved it!
