Its all about noodles and the broth is delicious !
I think the service is fantastic, when there is not a crowd, which is the norm for most places. The ramen is very unique but not something I would crave when wanting "ramen", but you can tell they're going for their spin on ramen which works for them. We got the spicy and signature paitan ramen. We had chicken and pork which were lunch meat style as other comments have noted. We got apps, wings and streamies. It was reasonably priced. The wings were really large, good spice with the dry curry rub. As for the ramen, the spicy had great flavor.. it makes you sweat but not overwhelming. The signature had a creamy broth, borderline too salty but not. I think when the other places in the strip are too busy or you're looking for a date night, I would go at leas. Just go early at opening to beat crowds in parking lot and shopping center.
I had the black ramen and it was tasty. It definitely had the black roasted garlic taste that I would expect for this type of broth. The pork chasu was thinly sliced and was good, it just was not what I expected when it comes to chasu. I'm expecting the rolled, tender, and charred type of chasu. Regardless it was good and is really it to be 3rd or 4th in my list of ramen spots in the Austin area. Give this a try if you're in the area and wanting flavorful broth from ramen.
Decent, relatively straightforward ramen and apps, relying more on freshness and nuance than heavy flavors or huge servings. Broth wasn't as savory or thick as I'd hoped, but added cashews we're a treat. Professional and quiet. Can develop a bit of a line, but a pleasant date.
We love this place! BEST ramen in Austin. We always order the spicy paitan and the wings. We’ve seen a lot of changes with staffing over the last few years(which happens) but their quality still holds. We always enjoy ourselves.
They have the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had!! And it comes with a side of delicious, crispy vegan tempura.
one of the worst ramen I've had.. take a look at the picture of the signature paitan and you decide.. we waited 20 min to get seated and 20 min after we placed our order to get it.. I omitted argula and added menma (bamboo shoots -$ 1.5) way too salty, very chicken tasting broth.. noodles were the cheap store bought kind and was under cooked. included raw onions?! overly peppered bamboo shoots. marinade on the egg was not good. the 'chashu' was thinly sliced pork that was nothing like chashu... total for $35 for 2 paitans -- save your time and money. go somewhere else for a nice lunch date and skip this place :)
