A simple diner that serves well prepared, freshly cooked, simple dishes. The grits are in my top ten and if consistency prevails, will earn a medal rank. Service and atmosphere is comparable to going home for the holidays. Highly recommended for an all-American experience. The reason I had to deduct a star is that the place could use some sprucing up. Vegetarian options: As long as you are ovo-lacto vegetarian and are not afraid of gluten or carbs, you will find great hashbrowns, smooth grits, pancakes, and egg dishes.
Great little hole in the wall diner in downtown Homewood. Somewhat limited seating inside, and it can get busy quickly. Staff is very friendly, though, and our food was ready in good time even at lunchtime on a busy Saturday. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak, a burger, and a side of fruit salad. All were high quality, and the cheesesteak was especially good. Fries are crinkle cut and onion rings are battered, for those with preferences regarding those things.
Great mom & pop diner. I've been twice and both times the food was great! The trashcan was amazing but so was my omelet!
These guys make some delicious food and keep that old school diner feel at the front. This place has been here for decades and still keeps up the quality. It's simple it's what you want from a diner and it's a great time. Just be patient when it's busy, it's a small place and they are doing a lot.
I had ever heard of this place. My gym was closed so I decided to grab breakfast. Very small like a diner should be. The waitress, Joyce, greeted me as soon as I walked in. When I told her it was my first time she made suggestions. I tried the half trashcan instead of the whole trashcan and it was past my limit but I finished it anyway. It was absolutely delicious diner food. Everyone just talks to everyone like old friends. There’s a lot of people that seem like they come every morning. It was like going into Cheers everybody where everybody’s your name. I loved it and will definitely be going back.
Great little diner. Generous portions. I had the philly cheese steak omlette with hash browns. Went on a weekday for brunch around 10am. Easy parking.
Would definitely recommend anything sausage. My biscuit was amazing. Service was amazing and she keeps the coffee coming. We're from Indianapolis traveling to see our family in North Florida and this was one of the best mom and pop whole in the walls we have found. Will definitely come back when we travel
Love the family atmosphere! I love the food!
You will not find a better Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Once you've had these, all others will be a disappointment.
