Best Japanese food in Denver
EDIT: I've been going here for a long time, but unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it. The last time I went to eat there, there were cockroaches underneath my table. I have no idea why I even sat here and tried to stomach my food anyway but I did. The chicken was all fat, dark meat, and was nearly impossible to chew through. I'm really disappointed in my experience Sakura House has some of the best Japanese food in the entire state, in my personal opinion. It's a hole in the wall, so it's never crowded to the point of not being able to get your food. The staff is extremely friendly and kind, and you'll absolutely get your money's worth if you eat here.
Hidden at the back of the Sakura Square on 18th St. Reminds me of restaurants I grew on eating at back on Guam. The food was the closest to familiar flavors and comfort I've had since moving to CO. I brought my sister here while she was visiting and we both were happy with the nostalgia. We had the teriyaki chicken and chicken cutlet, both were better than the other Japanese restaurants I've been to here.
Quiet spot, great service. I crave the spicy miso ramen pretty much constantly. The gyoza are delightful. Delicious!
A great place for authentic Japanese cuisine. I ordered the Chicken Katsu set meal, which was delicious.
A cozy and friendly service place for lunch. The Nabeyaki udon was flavorful. There is a lot of food that came with the delicious Yakiniku bento - seaweed salad, California rolls (imitation crab & avocado), miso soup, tempuras, salad, rice, Yakiniku beef
I’m sorry the yakiniky udon really tastes bad. I’m as sad as you are
The bone broth ramen was alright, but lacked a bit of flavor. The teriyaki chicken was pretty bad, we took to go because as soon as we got there the restaurant was a little dirty and there was a dead fly on our table. Maybe it was an off day, but I didn’t love it.
