Service was terrible. They completely forgot our friends food and we had to remind them more than once that he hasn't gotten his order. He finally got his food when we’re all done eating. I shouldn't have tipped but heard they would harass you if you don't tip 20%. Don't recommend this place and we'll never come back again.
Tapeo y experiencia como en un izakaya en Japón en medio de Manhattan.
This is the third version of Hagi I've dined at, and closer to the first - the basement on 49 Street - than to the second, and that makes us happy. The food is good to very good. The Happy Hour to 630 PM is a good value. The menu is large. Knowing roughly what you want before you go is a good idea. We've enjoyed the crispy rice & tuna, kushiyaki A, oshinko, Japanese sausage, seaweed salad, Toki Highballs, Soju, Sochu, and Happy Hour Sake. The vibe is comfortable and unfancy. We make this a go-to. BONUS good value SHOUT OUT to May for excellent service. TIP location across the street from the Circle in the Square and Gershwin Theaters. TIP no reservations
Stopped by for sushi-to-go and a drink. Excellent house old fashioned and good veggie sushi options.
Awsome atmosphere with grovy live Japanese jazz, could work on grilled foods though
FABULOUS. portions are just right, sushi is 6 pieces and it is delightful. Service was speedy and kind. Would 10000% visit again and recommend.
