Better than Thurmans - by far. Hands down the best burger I’ve had in Columbus. The place is super small and kind of hard to find as it’s down an alley and not on the main roads. Service was quick and very friendly. Great experience overall. I already can’t wait to go back. Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s absolutely worth it.
Such a small place maybe 20 people max. But it is so worth it. There was no wait at 12:30pm on a Friday. We were looking for a place with an old time feel and this lived up to exactly that. It has the feeling of really being ringside. We both wish the burgers themselves gave the same feeling but they tasted amazing so we can’t really knock it. Parking: It’s about a block or two from the parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Super small area. Noticed a baby stroller barely made it.
The homemade kettle chips were burnt black and the onion rings had been previously heated up and tasted burnt. The fish sandwich was soggy. The burger was passable. The tables were dirty and the salt and pepper shakers covered with grease. The waitress indicted she "didn't notice" the black chips when she served them, but admitted that's not how they should be served.
A true hole in the wall bar/restaurant. Had the patty melt and house made chips. Food was great and reasonable prices. Definitely glad my Uber driver recommended this place. It is a little hard to find. It’s down an ally and you could walk right by if your not looking.
Great place and experience.
Great atmosphere, tucked away for over 100 years. Fantastic food and friendly service.
Delicious food, beautiful old building
