Food was not very fragrant, service was mediocre (I had to go up to the front to get someone’s attention every time I needed something bc no one would come by for 10-20 minutes, which made me feel very rude but there’s a limit to how much I can wait;; we were only one of three tables there, too.), and the food is expensive for the quality you get.
I’m done with this neighborhood place. Flavorless food. I’d have rather had a PB& J
Always there- close to friends. Easy good belly warming. I really like their achar.
One of my absolute favorite hole in the walls. Came back after 4 years, so happy the quality is the same after Covid. This is a no frills dining experience, you come for the food. And the food delivers. You can tell everything is made with intention and doesn’t cheat with using too much diary or sugar or oil. The flavors are bombastic but the feeling is nourishment. Their lunch specials are complete and generous, they give you naan and rice and lentils and aachar and salad with any entree!! I wish all restaurants were like this.
Food took a while and was just ok. Probably won't return despite being close by.
Excellent. Fresh and tasty. Good portion with a reasonable price. Loved it ! Highly recommend
I’ve been ordering from them for years. It’s very good, one of my favorite Indian takeout places in Oakland. If you want spicy you need to tell them you want spicy. Otherwise they’ll give you a more mild version.
