Fantastic weekday breakfast spot! No need for reservations at open and I loved having the dining room to ourselves to start. Breakfast tacos were divine and my dining companions loved their dishes as well. Excellent cocktails (mine was a skinny paloma) to pair with our meal. Definitely want to come back for dinner!
Loved it so much. We can for restaurant week, and week happy to discover this place. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is fun. Every dish we tried was made to perfection, and the service was very good. The chips and salsa were one of the best I've had
I was very disappointed with our visit tonight. We made 715 reservations for four, assuming it would be busy for the last weekend of restuarant week. We were seated upstairs, at a table that had not been cleaned (there was a large dried sauce spill on the corner). The upstairs area felt like the place where kids are put at Thanksgiving - no atmosphere, dark, and out of the way. Instead of having one server in charge of the 8 tables upstairs, each server had a couple tables in addition to their tables downstairs. Bad idea, especially on a busy night. Though we were seated immediately, it was a good ten minutes before we got water or menus. It took almost another 20 before she came back and took our order and then an hour and a half to get our food. I work in the service industry as well, and I know a kitchen can get backed up, but this was ridiculous. In that time, we saw our server once. One time in over an hour. We were offered complimentary chips and salsa, that was it. Our food was delicious when it finally arrived, but by that time, we were all tired and only had a few bites before we threw it in take away boxes and left. One lukewarm apology and a "thank you for being patient" was all we got. Management definitely needs to figure out how to assign tables on busy nights. We probably won't be back because of the lackluster service and zero sign of urgency with the waitstaff. Too bad, because the food is really good.
Had a cocktail and took bachata lessons.
Disappointing first time coming here. Food and atmosphere were great. Can’t say the same for service. Got seated fairly quick and the server came to stop by right after but was non-existent after that. After ordering, it took nearly a hour till we got our entrees. All we got was a sorry. To make things even better we got charged twice for our dinner. Again, another apology. Such a shame, this place has everything going for them except for the most important part, customer service.
Yall are ridiculous. The food was great. My boyfriend grew up in Texas and I lived there for 5 years. Is this authentic Mexican? No. Don’t come here if you want that. Is this great food? Yes, don’t kid yourself. If you’re doubting these reviews, get what we got. I would spare the salsa, but get the elote and a taco plate. Tacos are bomb. Elote is bomb, drinks are bomb.
We arrived at the restaurant without reservations. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes. After 30 minutes I asked if it would be much longer. We were seated after 45 minutes. We had a margarita at the bar. Then were seated. We waited an hour to get our food. The manager came over to apologize. The food came after an hour. It was inedible. I ordered the cali burrito. It was soggy, wrapped in tin foil, as if it sat too waiting to be served. There were two shrimp in each half and lots of sour cream. No chicken. It tasted horrible. The fajitas were ok. We were at the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours and then served subpar food. At least the band was good. The manager apologized for the long wait due to being short handed in the dining room and kitchen. She comped us $29.00 for the lousy food and service. We will not be back. Hopefully we can see the band somewhere else.
This has got to be one of the coolest restaurants I've been to in Colorado. It's so soothing with the lighting. The menu wasn't overwhelming and the food was pretty affordable. The guacamole is really good and the chips are salty (I appreciate that). My partner and I ordered the mezcal margaritas and tamales and tacos. The fried avocado taco was amazing but had a little too much cabbage, the shrimp tacos were also good but I wish they had double tortillas. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great! The servers were warm and welcoming which is refreshing because you don't get that everywhere anymore. We had Mia as our server, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked a perfect amount! If you're around Platt Park definitely try this place - super worth it!
