The food was delicious, however I wish they came in smaller portions. I came by myself and would have liked to try a few things but 12 dumplings per servings was a lot. Also for tea you can only order a pot, so again not very good if you're alone. For some reason they don't validate parking even though they are right across from one of the Chinatown lots and come up as a restaurant in Chinatown when googled. Cost me $8 instead of $2 and would have been $12 had I stayed past 60 minutes.
Everyone was so nice! Especially Vincent! He came and checked in every now and then and made sure I was comfortable with my food! Also the fried dumplings are sooo good!
I recommend the cucumber salad appetizer, sweet, spicy, and vinegay I also recommend the zucchini and mushroom dumplings (pan fried) they are glass noodles inside and have a lot of texture.
This place delivers on many fronts. Good service, delicious food. Not too oily or salty and you can taste the individual fillings. The only drawbacks are how crowded it can get and that it is a little pricey, but hey, haven’t found a dumpling place quite like it anywhere nearby
I want to go every day and cherish those steamed shrimp, pork, & leek dumplings. So unfair. The tastes that literally explode in your mouth. You can’t ask for better.
The dumplings here aren’t particularly good enough to warrant the wait. If you’re visiting and eating alone, the portions are inconvenient since they come 12 dumplings per order and you can’t do half orders. Service here is pretty poor, they brought the check out when I was only halfway done eating. This was well over an hour before closing, for reference. Wheelchair accessibility: Entryway is kind of tight but doable.
The place is suggested by a chicago based friend- an extremely popular place in Chinatown, Chicago. We parked inside the paid parking, otherwise it’s difficult to find any spot. We reached at 11:30 on Sunday- and already the place was quite packed. We started with some hot green tea and jumped into some hot steamed dumplings. We tried all steamed and pan fried soup dumplings from the hot pick selection on the menu. The shrimp and leek, beef with onion, beef with coriander and the pork - everything was terrific. We also bought some frozen dumplings too. By the time we finished our meal, there were already people waiting in the line! A must try place, 10/10 imo.
