Portofino Ristorante

A fantastic place for a meal! The calamari was an excellent start to the meal. The calamari seemed fresh and the batter was fried to a light crisp. Served with a side of the marinara sauce that was really nice. The pasta is incredible. Cooked to the perfect consistency and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. Each bite was perfectly delicious. The service was great. Definitely returning to try more!

Underrated. I had the butternut squash ravioli. Phenomenal. Service was fast very attentive. No complaints.

Went for Easter Sunday brunch. Besides price per person being more expensive than their regular brunch ($50 pp), all food was cold when we arrived for our reservation at 11am. Food should have been heated before putting in sterno trays & should have been ready for opening at 11am. They were totally unprepared. Don’t make a brunch reservation before noon OR order off menu (would have been less expensive for us and we would have had a meal, not left hungry.)

Portofino Ristorante is a CLASSIC and staple in Forest Hills. I've been going there my whole life with my family. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, and Carmine (the owner) makes you feel right at home. Can't recommend this place enough!!

The food is good and if you're thinking of a neighborhood restaurant then is a good place for dinner . It is not cheap but not pricey either. While they have live music at times , the restaurant can be so loud that you might not hear the music . I guess good manners are ling time gone

I was a bit surprised at how much space was in the restaurant. A lot of tables and room to spread out. The food was good. No complaints taste wise. My only gripe is that the portions for what we had were smaller than expected. Especially considering the price. Was almost expecting 25-30% more food to be provided but that's a pic thing I guess. For instance, a stuffed rigatoni special only provided 8-10 rigatoni. If I were to have that solely as an entree I'd be having a second meal later. Other than that, the service was attentive, knowledgeable, and quick.
