Their fish plate so good.
The server wasn't all that friendly and barely made eye contact... maybe just having a bad day. The fish tacos smelled of fish and tasted fishy, so I opted not to take my chances on eating the second taco. The chips and salsa are free, which is a plus, but the salsa definitely seemed of "came in a jar" quality. I won't be returning to this place... mostly because of the fish and mediocre quality of the food.
Marvelous food and atmosphere, definitely one of the very few true 5-star dining experiences in the area.
Service was fine but boy let me tell you about the food. I ordered the Chile Colorado. The meat tasted old, the rice was very bland, beans tasted canned, and the flour tortillas were cold. Came with chips and salsa but both were meh. Also ordered a mango margarita which tasted more like a fruit slushy than an alcoholic beverage.
Friendly with good portions
We chose this place because I thought it would be the same as the one in Ensenada. But sadly i was wrong… Im not sure where all the 4-5 star reviews are coming from… i will not be coming back. This is not “real authentic Mexican food”. We should have taken the place being so empty as a sign that it wasn’t going to be that great… we ordered Chilaquiles Colorado, it specifically said on menu it had spicy salsa…. I didn’t know tomato sauce was spicy.. lol because thats what it was made with. Huevos Rancheros also was nothing special to it… go to Marios Mexican Food down the road… way better…. Im sorry but i will not be coming back.
