Pio Pio 8

This was my first time here and sure will be the last! With Pio Pio being a big chain restaurant, there are other restaurants to go to with a better experience. The food wasn’t bad but I take off stars for the appalling service I experienced. The bald headed waiter that serviced our table was very arrogant and someone from our party asked to return their dish because they added way too many spices and politely asked to take it back. The same waiter was rude about it and mumbled something derogatory under his breath when he took the plate back. Then the man who said he was the manager came out and insisted on her to order something else even when she politely declined. They don’t take no for an answer! And be careful with asking for separate checks, they add whatever tip percentage they want even if it’s a small party less than 3! The whole principle is that considering the rude and arrogant service from our waiter, he didn’t deserve over 20%! We tried to fight this with the manager but he was being stingy and kept giving us bogus reasoning on why we should still pay the tip (blah blah). Not even an ounce of being apologetic and obviously didn’t care if the lost a returning customer. It’s a shame they are in NYC but if you are a tourist and want to try Peruvian food there are many other places to go! Do Not patronize this particular restaurant! Arrogance and rude staff at its best!! Not a good look for a restaurant located in Manhattan.

Food is DELICIOUS! Full stop. Fresh, hot and full of flavor.

Buena comida y lugar bonito

Mero Norteño sea bass was the best fish dish I've had in a while. Highly recommend

service is very fast, food is fresh and their green sauce is amazing, been going to pio pio for years.

İlk defa Barselona'da bir Peru restoranında bulunmuştum. Bu benim ikinci tecrübem o yüzden sadece orayla kıyaslayarak yorum yapacağım orası da popüler bir restorandı ama ikisi arasında lezzet açısından uçurum var. Pio pio beklentilerimin çok çok üstünde bir restoran. Her konuda tam puan veriyorum.
