Just came here and the woman at the counter was extremely rude. I asked her if they had an outlet so I could sit and use my laptop and she said with a very bad attitude “I don’t understand what your saying, cash or card” she didn’t even try to understand me because I was speaking English. If you want to be mistreated for being a person of color then by all means, come here. They only care about you if you are Cuban
This wld’ve been a 5 star review all around except that there was a major error in the food I ordered. I ordered “bocaditos franceses”, which, as confirmed with the website where you can place the order (I opted to call the bakery directly instead to place the order) are supposed to be made of ham, cheese, pickle, strawberry jelly, and capped with cream cheese, which I confirmed with the nice lady that took my order by phone and also was the one that took care of me when I picked them up (Milena?). When I got home (I live far, in Kendall), they turned out to be layered Elena Ruz bocaditos on white bread, not the Franceses I was expecting. The beautiful layering and presentation were spot on, however, they had no pickle inside, and the top layer of cream cheese turned out to taste more like cake merengue or frosting (sweet instead of salty), than of cream cheese, like they’re supposed to be. I wld’ve overlooked all that, but the worst part was that they had in them smoked turkey instead of ham. I picked up on the taste right away and when I took them apart, sure enough, turkey instead of ham. They did have the strawberry jelly and the cheese, which helped disguise the turkey taste that I’m not fond of. Since this was for a birthday party and the guests were already arriving, plus I live far, I didn’t take them back, but I was very disappointed. That was supposed to be the food highlight of the party. They weren’t bad, just ok. Otherwise, great, friendly service, reasonable prices, clean place, and loved their guava pastelitos.
