I like the Spanish flair, being able to order fried yucca and plantains with your BBQ. It's a unique spot and menu, good variety, food comes out fast and fresh. Seating and parking can be tight during busy times, recommend going at an off time.
Finally got to try Pig Floyd’s again, the first time it was catered for an office event so I wanted to give it a try at the restaurant. We arrived after 5 on a Saturday & it was starting to get busy - there is a board as you wait in line that shows what’s available, getting low & unavailable; the only thing unavailable was the 1/2 chicken… or so I thought. Once I got to the front of the line I was told they were out of mac & cheese as well as green beans, that’s to be expected & happens a lot at bbq restaurants that make x amount to serve per day but I only figured this out after trying to order both at the register only to be told they were out, I felt a little guilty holding up the line trying to decide; however, it might have saved time to add this to their board under unavailable? In any case, we went with street corn fries, 2 of the 2 meat platters; one with pulled pork & brisket, the other with a double order of chopped chicken. The sides were ginger salad & baked beans for one & plantain & jasmine rice w/black beans for the other. The brisket & pulled pork were good but the we found the chopped chicken to be dry (odd considering thighs tend to be not as dry) & lacking flavor, there was no distinct smoked or chargrilled taste that I expect when eating bbq, the flavor profile was helped by the hot bbq sauce which was delicious but overall most was left on the plate & not taken to go. The baked beans & salad were ok, as were the beans, rice & plantain. I think my favorite thing was the street corn fries, definitely recommend trying those. Overall, an ok experience - maybe we’ll try again but still looking for a bbq spot in Orlando that we can fall in love with. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, plenty of room for kids to move around on the patio.
Lives up to the hype. Strongly recommend the pork belly sandwich and the Mills 50 Cheese. Friendly staff, great vibe to boot.
Great BBQ with an Asian flair. Brisket top notch.
Delicious food, friendly staff. Tried the Mills 50, pork belly taco, street corn, and big Floyd. Worth the drive from Disney.
The service was excellent, very accommodating and very fast. Plenty of seating inside and outside. And the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Street Corn Fries, but I will say the flavor profile on everything we tried was unique and interesting. If we are in the area in the future we will definitely stop in again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
I know we have inflation in this country but I don't recall a BBQ plate with 2 sides costing over 20 dollars?! (22 with tax) Sides weren't special and BBQ wasn't amazing. Really small portions as well... Better off just going to a mom and pop smoker shack place near a gas station for better price food and taste.. like in true south!
Great bbq Highly recommend the brisket and plantains Filling and good food
Just wow! I love it! Mexican street corn is so yummy, it’s corn on the cob with garlic sauce and cheese (I didn’t know). The citrus salad is extra crunchy, juicy and flavorful. We also got 2 bento boxes, both were great, nice ribs. The service was super fast, found parking on the street nearby. There are tables outside as well as inside, outdoors is close by the road, still quite nice.
