Went for lunch a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds. Such a charming spot! Classic English fare with a roaring fire on a foggy day. Couldn't have hoped for anything more.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I HAVEN'T EVEN VISITED PELICAN INN YET. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF RESERVING A ROOM AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL SINCE 8 DAYS. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO CALLS OR EMAILS ABOUT CANCELLING MY RESERVATION.
Food & drinks: I stopped in for lunch on the way to point Ray’s. Even though they were shortstaffed, they honored our reservation and gave us a great lunch quickly.
Incredible dinner in a dreamscape environment. We got the quails and the beef Wellington. Both were cooked perfectly and with exquisite care. The staff were friendly, relaxed and welcoming, just like they oughta be at a travelers’ inn
Food & drinks: The building and location are great. However, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered fish & chips and shepherds pie. One whole fish filet was entirely batter. The shepherd’s pie was about 70% melted cheddar cheese with very little filling. For two beers plus two meals and tip, $78 is a ripoff. It’s a shame because the place is really charming.
Muy rápidos en servir. Decoración estilo pub inglés. Se come bien. Si hace buen tiempo es muy agradable comer fuera en la hierba.
