Oye Taquito 956

My husband is from the valley (Harlingen) and he told me these tacos are exactly what he had in the valley and really reminded him of home. It was absolutely delicious! Prob the best street tacos I've ever had. If you haven't tried this place, I high recommend it. We ordered online and picked it up to eat at home.

Kind staff, fast and delicious food, and good music! Patio seating was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I heard so many great things on Instagram about Oye Taquito 956 and since we were in Austin, we had to check it out. It did not disappoint. Accidently had this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My husband and I placed one order for the mini street tacos and a piña agua fresca (for me) and 4 flautas (for him). Devoured it! He went back to the window and ordered more flautas and a cup of charro beans for me so I could stay warm while dining in the cold. Both the tacos and flautas were so good. The flautas were perfectly crispy and crunchy and filled with just enough meat. The street tacos come loaded, onions & cilantro, avocado plus queso fresco and flavorful sauces on the side!! The best. We left, then after a nice afternoon and late night improv show, we ended up back at Oye Taquito - this time for an 8-pack of flautas and two orders of mini street tacos to take back to our hotel room. It was soooo good. Only problem is I wish there was a location closer to us!!!

My tacos where extremely salty and grilled onions where seasoned and made it even more salty and the meat was so dry. I don’t think I would come here again. And I love my tacos from Brownsville and Matamoros but this was just not it for me.

This is my favorite taco spot in town! But I went there the other day around 9PM and they were closing up shop. Turns out they’ve been closing earlier and that sucks! Sometimes I get off late and want some dinner and it’s really disappointing to see this spot not capitalize on the late night crowd. They used to be open way late, I wish they’d bring that back! I’d spend more money that way.

Tacos and beans were both 5/5! If you want 956 experience in terms of food and experience come here and get the tacos and beans with a Mexican drink to match. They killed it with the flavor and had some good green/red sauces! Downsides, I would have liked double tortilla and price value for order of tacos is on the high side.
