I used to go here a lot but recently I think I have to change spots. Ok coffee, patronizing baristas time and time again. If you want to spend $6 to be treated badly, definitely go here!
The barista was very nice. But the caramel cold brew I ordered was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted like watered down cold coffee, no caramel flavor, had to throw it out. Very disappointing.
Very sweet and cosy spot. Comfortable and good coffee. Kid-friendliness: There’s kids drawings in the space, everyone is very friendly!
Really friendly barista, super nice and greeted us immediately. Had an iced latte with regular milk and really liked it. Lately lots of cafes in NYC have been brewing either really burnt or too acidic coffees. Not Ost Cafe - could tell they used great beans, and the roast was just right. Coffee was strong but not bitter, you could tell you were drinking coffee, not a milk latte. Glad I finally stopped by to try it out. Not a ton of tables inside, but wasn’t too busy on a Saturday morning.
Decided to come here while waiting for my dog’s grooming to be done. Place is cozy with lovely interiors however, the vibe was not cozy at all. Could’ve been more welcoming but ever felt like you enter a clique’s territory and you’re there as an outsider ‘in a sarcastic Are you lost?’ kind of way? I thought it was just me but having read the comments, there seems to be a pattern lately. I appreciate community and neighborhood closeness but what about those who just walk in?
It was good however most of the bakery items were gone by the time I got here and it was only open for two hours
Great little place out in south of Manhattan. Very dog friendly and most people don’t mind sharing a table. The baristas are very knowledgeable and affable and talked with me about television. It’s also warm inside and they let you use the bathroom if you get coffee.
