The food was amazing. Drink was hitting like a line backer!!!
Fried chicken has high potential, had Prosecco and a shot of at the bar, Prosecco was good quality. Bartender was very kind and good at what she does. No complaints ♀️
Went for dinner on a Sunday night. The floors were very sticky. As we were walking in, we watched the host walk away and go home for the day and security had to find someone to seat us since no one was readily available. Our waiter Justin was very kind and comical. For a slow night, the food took just as long to come out but was very delicious. My mom had the Lamb which we both found odd that you only get 1 side (mashed potatoes). Any meal should automatically come with two sides, especially to have a balanced diet. I guess black owned restaurants continue to lack with serving vegetables to complete an entre and mostly push for protein and starches. I had ordered Reisling to drink and I guess they ran out of wine glasses? The glass from the bar I had was dirty, so I had to drink with a straw. This was a decent experience.
We ordered devil eggs with shrimp, chicken and french toast, fried green tomatoes, and fish and grits. Overall, it was a decent experience, nothing to really rave about. But I would definitely go back because the food was good. We do not recommend the deviled eggs because they weren’t worth the money plus they cut the shrimp in half. I’m sure customer would appreciate a price adjustment. Oh, I ordered the reggae drink and that was worth the time and money. I would definitely reorder. And my friend LOVED the buttery goodness of the syrup and french toast and she isn’t really a French toast eater
I really liked it. I went on a Tuesday afternoon so it was calm. I spent $54, tip included. I added a little extra bc the bartender was nice and attentive.
The food was great. But only took one hour until the appetizer was served then still waited for our main dish. Music was too loud I couldn’t think.
It wasn’t crowded when I went and I was able to be seated quickly. The service was average, however she was very polite. I thought the portions were on the smaller side at this price point. They lemonade was not made in house nor was the sweet tea. The rib tips were ok as well as the macaroni and cheese. The sweet potato’s stole the show and I probably should have ordered another order to go! I received my bill and they automatically included 18% gratuity for a party of one. I was kinda offended by it and I wished they wouldn’t have done it. If you want your servers to make more money, either pay them a living wage so they don’t have to rely on tips, or allow them to earn it, servers tend to have mediocre service and won’t go above and beyond for customers if you force the customer to tip 18%. I was actually planning on leaving a cash tip over the 18% but since it was already added I decided to keep the cash
Customer Service is very friendly. I ordered the baked chicken not knowing it only came with 3 pcs of dark meat chicken, It was season good along with rice, black eyed peas and Mac & cheese.
