Ocha Asian-Japanese Cuisine

The fish is always fresh and the sushi is rolled to perfection. Creative special rolls and great kitchen entrees. Hidden gem, best sushi in North Jersey. Neo and his wife are very friendly and they do catering with a sushi chef included!

I ordered an assorted sushi dinner and the tuna was absolutely unchewable. The color was fine but I couldn't bite through it no matter how hard I tried. Absolutely disgusting. I didn't know sushi could be this bad. These sushi "chefs" should be ashamed of themselves.

It's very delicious.The Boss is very nice.

The hostess was so kind! She gave my son kids chopsticks and he loved it! The food was delicious.

Ordered the kani salad as an appetizer, but it was more cucumber than kani. Also had the shrimp shumai, which was OK. For our entrees, had a spicy tuna roll which had a good amount of tempura crunch which I liked. And snow mountain was very yummy. Would come back with Groupon again.

I'm really sad to say my dining experience left me so disappointed that I am writing my first Google review ever. I dined at Ocha several times about 3-4 years ago and decided to come back with family since I was in the area. That was a mistake... 1- Fish quality. I'm a frequent sushi-eater (ranging from local spots to high-end places), and I have never been served such a poor cut of toro before. My bite was so unpleasant in taste and texture that I could not finish it. 2- Roll quality. Large selection of rolls, but you'll be hard-pressed to find one without "filler" (aka. tempura crunch). Fish taste is covered by a variety of sauces. Avocado must be pre-cut because it was browned, and it ruined the taste of the rolls. Pro: good rice:fish ratio. 3- Cleanliness. Table was not cleaned from previous guests. Dinnerware was filled with fingerprints and some type of grime I assume is from the cleaning product/machine? 4- Understaffed. Only one waitress for the entire restaurant who was responsible for answering phones, organizing pick-up orders, cleaning, and taking care of seated guests. She was very pleasant, but obviously overwhelmed. Overall, my family and I did not finish our $100+ meal and left feeling very uneasy about what we had just consumed. As is, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will not be returning. It was very sad to see given my positive experiences in years past.

Good Japanese food, never been disappointed. I gave it a 3 star for atmosphere, I've never dined in.
