Pizza was great as usual, but the salad bar this time was a bit off kind of wilted. But we made most of our visit.
I used to work at a different Mountain Mikes location. I usually order from this location because the one I used to work at is very far from where I live. I ordered a half pound of boneless buffalo wings, a half pound of boneless stingin' honey garlic wings, and a pizza. The pizza was all right, but we were very disappointed in the wings. I expected good quality because I know what the standards are supposed to be, but I was quite disappointed, to say the least. The pizza was made alright, but it didn't taste very good, and both orders of boneless wings had hardly any sauce on them; some pieces had literally no sauce. The customer service was good, and the atmosphere was also good; I wish the food were of better quality.
When the manager is away, the employees will do whatever they want to do other than make a good pizza! I generally get a good pie from this spot, however recently it has been sub par. Yet, the prices have went up. At first, they tried to give me some burned garlic knots by calling them "crispy". They didn't expect me to look at the food before I left. However, after I gave the young lady the black momma stare with my lips poked out, she quickly changed her tune and took them back to have it remade. The top of the pizza looked fine upon initial inspection but when I got home and took a bite the pizza crust was dry as the Mohave desert! Not only did the cook ration the sauce like they bought it, the dough was dense like it didn't have time to rise and "crispy" aka light weight burned! This would not have happened if the manager was present. So, before you order a pizza there, it would be best to call ahead and ask if the manager is on site. Otherwise, there's no telling what you may get!
It was the best pizza I've had in a while.. YUMMY!!!
