Colatura di Alici is the best pie I had in ny
I stumbled upon this place after a visit to the Museum of Natural History and it was everything I needed to round off a beautiful early spring day in the city. It lured me in with its authenticity (something most places can only try to mimic anymore) and the soppressata picante pizza absolutely sealed the deal. Motorino is my new favorite, it’s just too bad I live in Queens!
Wow, astoundingly bad service. We waited for a table and were completely ignored along with a line of other people out the door for 15 minutes as the host just walked past us without saying a single word. There were at least 5 tables available as everyone stood there patiently waiting for the host who seemed busy. When we finally got to speak with staff, they didn’t wait to hear if we wanted to sit indoors or outdoors before scoffing and walking away. The front of house staff were extremely rude and for no apparent reason. Perhaps they collectively had a bad Sunday afternoon?
This pizza was incredible! The crust was crisp, they use the good sausage with fennel, and the spice level was perfect. They even accommodated my request for fake cheese (allergy). They were helpful and gracious! Worth saying that they run great specials, too!! Love this place!
Very good pizza but a bit pricey
Pizzas muy muy buenas. Buen servicio. Menú por 17.95$ entre semana.
