Great ramen spot! Quick and excellent service
I was very excited to try Mogu Mogu as I has previously been a fan of Mazesoba Hero, which also serves saucy ramen. However, I was very disappointed by the awkwardly heavy and overpowering (?) but somehow a not very flavorful taste. To top it off, the service was very poor, considering that my table of two was the only occupied table at the time of our visit and we were hardly even offered water or checked on. Catching the servers' attention to even pay was a challenging since they were busy just glancing over to our tables while continuing to have lengthy conversations amongst themselves, which I cannot understand how it's possible when, again, we were the only occupied table. Parking is street parking
Mazemen was great - mixing in the poached egg creates a great texture. The addition of the vinegar adds complexity and finishing up with rice sops up all of the flavorful sauce.
Great price, but was pretty disappointed by the food. Turned into soggy mess
This was my first experience with mazemen and it did not disappoint. It was a recommendation from my buddy who lives locally and I will absolutely return. The vinegar adds a delicious change in flavor profile and compliments the egg yolk and the fatty flavor and umami taste and mouth feel. This was one of my favorite things I’ve eaten in the last year to be honest. Fantastic food. Great little atmosphere and great service. Totally decent pricing too.
Best meal I’ve had in this LA trip. Was really eager to try no soup ramen. Was surprised to find one of the best dishes I’ve ever tried. The deluxe Mazemen was out of this world, although slightly spicy if you don’t like that (I love spicy food). The Tonkotsu is a much better than average Tonkotsu, the chase was to die for. Highly recommended place.
Need to wait to be served, ordered view ramens and toppings are great but the ramen n soups is so so..
