First time in the area, and I was looking for a late lunch and beer spot. Was planning on Karl Strauss, but thought I’d give Miguel’s a try as I was really in the mood for carnitas. So glad I did. First, they provide you free warm chips, salsa, and queso. All very tasty, especially the house salsa which you can buy by the pint (ask me how I know, lol). They have a large beer on tap selection, including multiple offerings from Karl Strauss and Ketch Brewing. I ordered the carnitas plate which arrived quickly in a generous portion. Served with hot flour tortillas, avocado slices, onions and cilantro, and incredible pico de gallo, the dish was everything. Tender, juicy, flavorful pork roasted to perfection. Complimenting the delicious food, Miguel’s staff were attentive and friendly. I will definitely return when I’m in the area again; their fajitas plates are my next target!
