Fantastic intimate Piano Bar with great food and lovely entertainment in a comfortable atmosphere and great service. It has become our regular spot to go out at night. Best time to arrive is around 7 PM since it is small and gets full after 9 PM and difficult to get a seat or a booth.
Awesome vibe but they did not tell us that there is a $10 cover for piano music! They snuck in an extra $20 at the end without telling us!
Joshua Bieber Trio provided the perfect end to a week in the city. Service was simply charming and the Old Fashioneds were spot on. You can come to listen to the music, or have a quiet conversation. It all goes.
Very cute place with fine music and TERRIBLE service. Owner was incredibly rude while we were literally just standing by the bar and enjoying the music, and they have a terrible table system. They tell you to wait at the bar but they never actually come to find you. I could get over the table incident but not the owner’s attitude when we didn’t do anything. Rule #1 for establishment owners: treat paying customers with respect
This is a good looking bar with nice drinks but it's a bit of a clip joint with a truly terrible sound system for the band. We ordered two Black Russians and were charged $22 per drink which included an up charge for call liquor which we hadn't ordered. The bill was almost $70 after tax with two $10 cover charges for music. When we complained about the cost of the drinks, our bill was altered to remove one of the cover charges but that just seemed to be punishing the band. In any event, at $22 per cocktail, you'll be infinitely better off a few blocks away at Bemelmans.
I landed at Melody’s randomly on my bday last year while looking for a cool bar with live music. Melodys did not disappoint! Great staff, amazing drinks and talented musicians, have kept me coming back for more!
