Mc Baker Market & Deli

I’ve been getting sandwiches regularly from here for a year now. Plus, I often bring groups of friends here as well. However, today (01/27) around 1pm, the employee with glasses and a medium black and white beard was very rude to me. I simply asked him to hold the mustard and nothing else. He then snapped with, “Did you just tell me what you want?” I politely said yes, starting to feel uncomfortable. He then harshly said, “Well, then you don’t need to tell me what you don’t want.” I was surprised that I was being flexed on just for asking him to hold the mustard. It’s funny because the only reason why I made this request in the first place is because they put a heavy amount of mustard on my last sandwich when I didn’t even ask for it. After I endured his condescension and rudeness, I politely walked out and took my money to one of the numerous sandwich spots close by. Although this employee cost the owner a lot of future profit from me, it ended up being a positive. I discovered my new go to sandwich spot just a short walk away that doesn’t push power trips on their customers. There are just as good and even better options close by that won’t treat you poorly. I don’t recommend this place.

Love the sandwiches, and the store owners. Really great place

This is your typical corner store that I would go to every time I went to see my good friend to walk his dogs and the owners are super nice but the recent vibe when i go in there shifted with the hiring of some new employees. They are not very friendly and are very tense so I don't go. I take my money to a place around the corner simply because they are nicer.

Best deli sandwiches in the city. Great value for big sandwiches! They also have a nice sitting area out front

Sandwiches definitely have the look of a great one but mine at least didn’t have the flavor. It was either lack of sauce or something missing in the combination that didn’t knock it out of the park.
