I should start by saying I had really high expectations for this place so much so that we drove 50 mins to dine here - but unfortunately I don’t think it lives up to the hype. We ordered the hummus with red schug that came with the pita bread., bourekas and the Jerusalem toast. The hummus and pita were both great . Bourekas were okay - esp the potato one - not much flavors really . The Jerusalem toast - again good - not mind blowing . Honestly I didn’t get much flavors except the sesame toast. I also don’t think the restaurant was super accommodating- we really wanted to try the falafels and asked if we could do falafels on the side as I don’t like the eggplant and didn’t want to order the whole main just for falafels which was like $28. The server told us that they don’t serve falafels like that . As I said - not very accommodating . Also which Israeli restaurant doesn’t have falafel as a side - weird to begin with . Overall if you are in the neighborhood it’s a decent place to check out but not something I would go out of the way for .
Delicious food. Highly recommended.!
This would be my death row meal, hands down.
The Pita and Hummus were out of this world!
Mazal is delicious because they actually execute on what leads to greatness: authenticity, creativity, and passion to make something special each time.
