One of my favorite spots in town for seafood! Oysters on happy hour are excellent! Drinks are fantastic, and the staff is very friendly.

Great Happy Hour all day on Thursday! The crab dip was soooo good and everything was very reasonably priced!

Currently having Easter Brunch here and the spread is incredible! Swordfish was amazing. Our server Kyle is the kind of waiter you wish you had everywhere you went. Thanks Kyle for your hospitality. We will be back to see you!

This place was a nice, random find. Came here on a date last week &, truthfully, I was more interested in the restaurant The bartenders were phenomenal & the food was delicious - their charbroiled oysters were my favorite ♡ fresh fish n chips was a huge plus as well. Will definitely be returning with friends!

Max’s Gill & Grill is a neighborhood treasure. If you’re looking for a relaxing atmosphere, this is your place. It’s mostly a sea food themed restaurant in the quaint Gaylord St. shopping area, between University & Wash Park. They do have other dishes like chicken, ribs, etc…if sea food is not your thing. Nice tiki bar and patio areas in back. Low key lighting. The staff are all great!!! Love the rustic look and feel, a constant for decades. Always a mix of reggae and island music playing. Love the half circle bar up front. Plenty of TVs on with sports playing. 100% family friendly. Parking is limited. We often end parking a block to two blocks away, but it’s always a pleasant and easy walk (amazing neighborhood). Max’s food is great - not a bad dish on the menu (see my app pics). Restrooms are small, but clean. Great drink selection and absolutely worth the money. They have a very good Happy Hour each day. Wednesday’s, all you can eat wings special. Thirsty Thursday’s, all day happy hour. Seriously, you can’t go wrong stopping by Max’s.

Really love this place. Definitely one of our go-to's, especially for happy hour. Their oysters are so fresh and my wife absolutely loves the lobster roll. Never disappointed. Deserve all of 5 stars.
