After walking around the museum and constantly smelling the aroma of the café, I decided to come in for a bite. Noticed it was a very small sitting area but also an option to go to the counter and takeout. Servers were very friendly and quick to help. I ended up ordering a matzo ball soup, potato latkes, and a slice of chocolate babka. Food came out in a reasonable timeframe. The broth of the matzo ball soup was delicious and very filling. The soup itself was 18$. I'm giving four stars because when my potato latkes came out, it was just 5 potato chip sized latkes with a spoonful of sour cream and apple sauce. For 23$, I was very disappointed by the portion. Points for tasting exactly how my father used to make them. The chocolate babka was fresh and tasty. Overall an excellent experience and delicious food options!

Just beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island which seems appropriate for this Museum restaurant. We loved the lox which was very high quality and not salty on a wonderful bagel with terrific garnish. The matzo ball is light and fluffy and the soup just right on a cold Feb afternoon. Our server suggested the chocolate strudel which was better than the strudel in Vienna. I can't think of a better lunch I have every had in the area and look forward to returning to try the Bobka.

Worst Museum dining experience of my life the view is beautiful but that is the only good thing you can say about the cafe the food is overpriced and the food wasn't even that good the potato pancakes were burned on the outside and raw in the middle I had shreds of potato in my mouth there was more sour cream than actual vodkas there was five for $23 and they were so small that I don't even think they used a whole potato to slice these and get these five little latkas then we got the bagel which had way too much creaam cheese and tasted like milk and very dry I would not recommend this place because it is truly horrendous overpriced horrible there wasn't even silverware or napkins they gave us these weird rolled up things and I just don't highly recommend this place it's completely horrendous

I was very happy to find this wonderful cafe. I was immediately greeted & seated by Rabbi Victor Haziza. Rabbi Victor was such a pleasure, and made the atmosphere all the more special for me. I have allergies, and he carefully went over the menu with me. The food was absolutely delicious! The cafe was beyond clean, spotless! The view was breathtaking. I will always eat at Lox cafe, and have more intriguing conversations with Rabbi Victor. Thank you for a lovely lunch. Professional Denise Delgardio PhD Dietary restrictions: The chef is more than willing to cook or prepare for your needs. I have allergies, and they prepared sandwiches specifically for me to eat.

$$$$ woah. Lox bagel $23. Almost feels un-New York. You also need to go through security, which is a hassle.
