Bummed because this was previously an easy five star spot that I frequented but won't be going back. Prices have been gradually raising over the past year and now it's not affordable at all. 4% EAGs charge added to every bill and entrees and taco prices went through the roof. $5.50 for a tiny taco is wild. Happy hour was shortened and prices increased and service slow, making it a long wait for drinks, more than 30 minutes per drink. Also my friends drink was incorrect. margs have gotten less strong and not as good - very disappointing. I fully support making sure employees get paid well but the fact that there's an extra bill charge AND prices have shot up is wrong, plus I just saw their response in another review saying that they charge the 4% fee so they don't have to raise their prices - liars!!
Best tacos I've ever eaten
Loved it. Great atmosphere, fast service & an extremely good happy hour. Try the quesadilla of the day and a couple tacos paired with a carafe of margs. You won’t regret it. Everything was super and tacos are loaded!
Watch out for a hidden “EAGS” charge on your bill, which apparently stands for “employee appreciation and guest safety”. I thought tips covered employee appreciation, and didn’t realize I had to pay extra for my safety. These hidden fees that restaurants have taken to adding to your bill are straight theft, cloaked as altruism. This one felt particularly egregious for their use of an ambiguous acronym on the bill that made it look like some kind of official tax. Restaurants- pay your employees, and charge the prices for your food required to pay them right instead of stealing from your customers. Shameful.
Visited this restaurant last weekend & heres some feedback. The restaurant is super fun & inviting. The service... not so much. From the initial greeting to the server. No one was friendly at all, which was a huge letdown. The waitress was the worst part. The food was great. I was disappointed about the chips & salsa being a charge & no refills.... I know it's not much but that's always a staple in an amazing Mexican restaurant & not having that experience along with the service we received I was pretty disappointed.
I was there this Easter Sunday as recommendation from my boss and while the food was acceptable but service was all over the place being served and charged by different people having to wait a decent amount of time for really straightforward items, having no follow-up on how things tasted and then having to wait about 15-20 minutes after we were done to have to ask someone for our check. We understand is Easter weekend and it may have been bussier than usual but given the area and the good things we have heard of the place we were expecting a little more.
The food was wonderful the margarita ladder was delicious great margaritas. The hostess said reach you at the door was not friendly at all, and our server was not friendly at all.
Awesome happy hour spot in RiNo. I split the tacos, guacamole, and corn dish. It was really good and I’ll be back! There are also pitchers of margaritas, but that doesn’t actually give you a discount so keep that in mind.
