Lin Asian Bar + Dim Sum

Food here is excellent. Soup dumplings and shrimp w/ mushroom bao to start, Salt n Pepper whole fish and Hong Kong Lobster for mains. So good.

Granted, we came during the worst time to eat in Austin - SXSW (also ACL, just don’t go out ok), but food was meh. Cabbage salad was more like a very mild slaw - the nuts and carrots were the most flavorful aspects. It should not have cherry tomatoes, that’s weird. We ordered chicken sui mai and got the fried pork ones. Those were not good and they were very big. I haven’t had sui mai so big before, let alone fried. They weren’t crispy like the menu claimed. Our chicken sui mai did eventually come out, and those were also meh, but better than the pork. Soup dumplings were alright but pretty doughy in a bad way. Lo mein was good, but we got it to go because the man next to my husband was practically sitting in his lap. Why is it so over capacity, we would have died if there were a fire. End.

Great vibe and good service, but food is pretty Americanized and overpriced.

We sat at the bar where Joe and Alexa took great care of us. The drinks were amazing as was the food. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I went for brunch to celebrate his work promotion. The food and drinks were amazing but our service made the experience top notch. Our server, Martín, was very attentive and friendly. We were able to chat and he was very knowledgeable about the menu, drinks, and even the background of Lin and the other affiliated restaurants. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because we had a reservation at 1:30pm but didn't get sat until 15 minutes later. Which wasn't a big deal but not something I expected here in Austin.

Beautiful restaurant, the food was great !Wil definitely recommend for the Lamb chops - was delicious
