I have driven past this place no less than a million times. I have been wanting to try it for the longest and I am so mad at myself for waiting this long. My family ordered it for dinner last night. We each ordered something different. My son got barbecue chicken and mac and cheese. The barbecue chicken was drenched in sauce and it was perfection. It was so tender and delicious. He ate every single bite. My husband got the fried chicken dinner in sweet and hot sauce. It wasn't as spicy as he would have liked but he still devoured it. I got the shrimp and grits. It was filled with sausage which with spicy and had a nice little kick. There were shrimp throughout and it was so good. I literally ate every single bite. I never heard my family so quiet while eating. Everybody was so happy with their meal and ate every single bite. I don't think that's ever happened where we didn't have any leftovers. Looooove!!!
Great food, great service, great vibe. Will definitely be back.
Great lunch place... good hospitality, food was great Cajun style
Incredible! If you're introducing someone to soul food/ creole food, take them here. Outstanding food. Outstanding service. A valley gem!
Delicious food. The hush puppies are to die for. I had fried fish and biscuits with their hot sauce, so delicious! Try the buttermilk pie! Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu!
Absolutely authentic Southern cooking with the 3 main cuisines: Soul Food, Cajun and Creole. I had vegetarian etouffee, with collard greens. Food is prepared to order, and utterly delicious. My husband loves their Southern Fried chicken, and my 98 year old neighbor nearly cried when she tasted the buttermilk pie If you want authentic cuisine, come here. I also appreciated that the staff were having fun and obviously proud of their food. I think it's family-iwned, and you get that extra care one receives in such a place. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options include greens, yams, black-eyed peas as well as Creole, Jambalaya, Ettouffe and Gumbo. I used to have to travel to the Bay Area to get this kind of food, and it's much better here. Since I have non-vegetarians in my family it is great to have a place where everyone is satisfied.
The best soul food in the San Fernando Valley. Ask for Pat, she’ll hook you up. Sweet potato pie to die for. Yummy
