Stopped by this landmark of a taqueria by SJSU. Had to buy a bottle of the Orange Sauce. The Horchata was fresh and the service was fast. The atmosphere had strangers laughing with each other as the building feels like someone's home.
Kid-friendliness: I left my Motor Cycle Vest There and it disappeared they told me they check video there No Vest hummmmm
I've been going to La Vics since I was a teenager. This is 20 or so years of faithful patronage. The sauce is coveted between me and my friends who for the most part live in different states now. When we come back to the bay it's a MUST! Personally I have purchased 4 to 6 bottle of orange sauce at a time when I come back to Cali. I've even had them shipped from friends. Maybe I'm a diehard but I will say this... when you've been out with friends at the bars it hits the spot. I'm not sure how it is since covid but they used to give us freereign on those orange sauce bottles. It's spicy yet creamy but not overly on either one. Ive tried hard to recreate it and its just not possible. This is a household name in the born and raised San Jose party people. I LOVE YOU LA VICS!!!
Amy was super awesome when asked what are some of the most ordered items. I eventually went with the Super Beef Burrito and IT WAS AMAZING holy cow not an inch of the thing was dry and every bite was as flavourful as the first. Don't even get me started about the famous orange sauce, that thing was to die for. All in all if you are in the area you MUST grab something here!
