La Piazza at Eataly

Mouse in the house. I was there last night with a family member. Had a table on the front of the Pizza kitchen ( by the register). While the manager and two other employees where standing by the register a mouse passed by and went in to the pizza oven area, one of the employees attempted to block it with her feet. I just had a few bites at that time. I had left a note on the back of the receipt and asked the waitress to read. I did look like there was awareness among employees about mice issues from their reaction when they see the mouse passing by. I would expect the management to take the issue very serious as there was plenty of lights and a lot of noise that would prevent a mouse from walking around unless there is a lot of them in this place .....!!!!!! Hopefully they don't wait until mice start jumping on tables while customers there.

Decided to stop by during the holiday season. You could smell the delicious food so we had to try it. The setting is awkward: you either eat at the bar or on the high standing tables in the middle of the marketplace, with people passing by. Not the best place for a quiet meal. The prices can be higher than most places but they do have a great selection of Italian food and wines.

Fresh Italian food that is full of flavor. The bolognese, Margareta pizza, fettuccine with truffle butter, and lasagna all were great. We even had a Bellini and a lemonchelo spritz. We topped off the evening with fresh gellato from right around the corner.

It's absolutely amazing, the two restaurants in Eataly are better but you can get in only with reservation, this one is first come first served. Pizza and pasta are always a must!!!

Our cousin in Providence told us that La Pizza e La Pasta in Eataly is her favorite pasta restaurant in all of Boston so we had to check it out. It's located in a market hall/mall so the atmosphere is ok but nothing special. They work with what they have. The service was also ok but nothing special. However, the pasta was FANTASTIC!!! We had the Pappardelle al Ragu di Funghi and the Agnolotti al Tartufo Nero. Wow. Yes, they were on the pricey side: $26 and $29, respectively. However, they were so delicious we may try to go again in the next few weeks. We also discovered a new white wine that we had never heard of that we LOVE. We are so glad we came here.

Had the eggplant pizza and the calzone pizza. Can’t remember what the actual names are. The calzone pizza was like half the size of the eggplant pizza for whatever reason and didn’t really like it. Too much whatever yogurt-texture like cheese Eggplant pizza sauce was decent. Kind of overpriced quality wise, but it is convenient if you get hungry at the pru.
