I got California rolls from here thinking you couldn’t go wrong with that. But Kumi somehow managed to get it wrong, the imitation crab had no taste and wasn’t even close to tasting like how it should and instead was flavorless and mushy like a mashed potatoes consistency taste. If you are thinking of eating here take this as a sign to please don’t.
Poor customer service. Gave me the wrong order multiple times and did not apologize. Staff did not know what was happening in the kitchen. Food was underwhelming.
I ordered lunch for pickup here and everything was great! I had the yellowtail tacos and a salmon burrito. I wish I had dined in because the outdoor seating area was nice. It also looks like you can order from Umami Burger and a third place at the same location.
First, finding this place was confusing. No signs for Kumi that I noticed. Finally, we figured it out and went in and the hostess told us to sit where we would like. So we sat and nobody ever came over to us. After five minutes we left
The sushi itself was fine (and the tacos had a great crunch and texture). This is actually a ghost kitchen inside “Umami Burger” and it was confusing to find, confusing to order, and an awkward experience overall. If you’re ordering delivery/takeout, the food’s ok, but just a heads up that this is not a “sushi restaurant”.
Where is the entrance?? No clear signs of it. Very poor
I’m sorry the food was honestly pretty bad. There was one tiny piece of not fresh salmon in my salmon sushi “burrito” (it was so tiny) for $10. I got the salmon and yellowtail tacos that were 80% rice. Taste was fine and the sauce was good, but I spent nearly $30 on rice and a few tiny chunks of fish. For my first sushi burrito experience, pretty terrible. The burrito was no more than a loosely wrapped roll with that one small piece of fish in the entire thing. The server asked us for here or to go and we said for here, and he brought us to go. We asked for plates and he said “we aren’t permitted to serve sushi on plates” - are they not permitted to serve the food at all? Also, very confusing as it’s inside Umami Burger with no signage. Super disappointing…
Ordered via Postmates tonight and there wasn't just one, but TWO hair strands in the sushirritos we ordered. I was mortified and had to throw them out.
Yum! Nice surprise to find delicious sushi at this ghost kitchen place hidden inside Umami Burger. I got the Philly roll and a hamachi & habanero pepper roll. Both were delicious! The food came in a really cute box. Service was great. Would come again.
