You should be ashamed calling yourself "Kubeh". This is not Kubeh - was nothing more than beat juice. Do better
We went there for their Noorooz special menu, and the food was soooo delicious that we came back the very next day! The fish (part of the Noorooz menu) was absolutely amazing! Also the Kuku sabzi, Kofteh, lamb shank, the brownie, and the ice cream (we had the Turkish coffee and hazelnut flavor), all were brilliant. With the Turkish coffee there is a guide to read the fortune, which was really cute! The owner greeted us warmly both nights, and the staff were super friendly. A must if you are into middle eastern food! The decoration was so warm and cozy! Dietary restrictions: GF, Vegetarian
Beware of menu fraud!! Dishes are not as described. For an ENTRE of a cauliflower salad that the waitress described to be WARM, we were expecting something substantial with…well, cauliflower. Instead, we received an appetizer-sized pile of salad with 4 pomegranate seeds and 4 pieces of cauliflower. We also ordered the meze plate which had ridiculously small portions as well for the price and ingredients…. Something I could easily put together from Trader Joe’s. The chicken is insanely over seasoned, and to top it all off, my daughter observed the chef eating his lunch in the kitchen with his hands and no gloves!!! Please avoid this place at all costs.
Food was hit and miss. The dish I ordered, the Kubeh hamusta, was good but my friend ordered the schnitzel and it was not that great. The service was atrocious. It was very noisy and I wanted to confirm the waitress had our order correctly and she responded in a condescending and passive aggressive manner that left a bad taste. Clearing the table and paying for the bill was not much better.
Delicious fresh food. If they had a location in Greenpoint, I’d eat there almost every day - no exaggeration.
