Love the atmosphere and staff here. Always a great place to work and study. Coconut matcha is the best in the city. Great selection of pastries as well.
Great location, and coffee!
Thought to try the place and ordered the hot matcha latte. Matcha didn't taste the best. Tasted watery. Not worth going back.
prob my fave coffee shop in chelsea after living in the neighborhood for a year and a half. iced hawaiian latte is actually the best thing i’ve had in a hot sec. also have had the lavender latte (i wouldn’t get this again tbh) and the matcha which is ok (i think i prefer starbucks’s matcha though) a lot of seating inside but does it crowded. i think wifi is limited on weekends
Their cold brew is top 3 worst cold brew I have ever had in my life. Their “house blend” is sooo revolting. I am so confused by how you can make coffee taste that bad?! The after taste is like something has gone bad? Or you accidentally dropped some cleaning chemicals or dirty mop into the coffee. I don’t even know how to describe the taste. There are some great Hawaiian coffees out there, but this Lu’au house blend is a no-go for me. I’m crying about how bad it is. Someone please try it with no milk and let me know if I’m hallucinating. Atmosphere not bad, but no wifi on the weekend. There are charging outlets available.
Consistently one of my favorites after 6 years in the area. Can always count on Kona to have delicious coffee, good music vibes and is a dependable place to do work if you can manage to snag a seat (though noise and wifi availability may vary, especially on weekends). Regularly packed, but I’d still choose to wait over going to other cafes in the area. The only complaint is the cold air rushing in during the winter when they start pulling in the outside tables and chairs 2 hours before closing.
Lavender ice latte is the best!
The coconut matcha latte is so good...
