The food is decent but they often give OLD, dark, hard cha siew when your ordering take out because obviously by the time I get home, I wouldn’t want to go back out to exchange it. And this happens quite often, and when I came to order today. I kindly ask the lady please do not give me over night cha siew, because last they gave me over night dark, hard cha siew. And she screamed at me and it became a big argument. I do not recommend this place at all. The lady was very rude. This occurred on Sat March 23, 2024 at 3:20pm. I repeat. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. Bad service, Lady is RUDE & Disgusting attitude. I have been coming here for atleast 2 years buying the same thing, 3 choice meat over rice with a soup. Now they lost a loyal customer and this was the last straw.

尽可能的不要堂吃,糟糕的服务,态度很差,似乎很着急让人离开,即使座位很充足,他们也给你安排的很拥挤。不建议堂吃。

Echoing some other guests’ experiences - a server followed us out the restaurant and tried to shame us into leaving a bigger tip. Our food came out cold, some of the bbq mixed in wasn’t fresh, and there was frankly no service - the fact that I left a tip at all was already generous. How come you didn’t have the time to serve us, but had both the time and audacity to demand a bigger tip? Let me be clear: this is not about being stingy on tips - the way to earn a better tip is to give better service and not harass your customers with a confrontation. Shameless…

Visited last night at 6 pm, ordered a Rice Casserole. Noisy environment, zero service. Despite this, I left a 13% tip. However, a middle-aged, short-haired female staff member stopped me, claiming the tip was insufficient. I politely questioned whether there was a mandatory tipping policy, explaining the lack of service. Her response was unexpectedly rude, saying, "Poor people shouldn't come if they can't afford it next time." This left me disappointed. Surprisingly, while browsing reviews, I noticed numerous people sharing similar experiences. I hope the restaurant takes note of this employee's behavior and implements improvements to provide a better dining experience for all customers. Clear communication about tipping policies and addressing rudeness among staff is crucial.

Perfect meal for a cold NYC night. Not only did this place survive the pandemic, it is thriving beautifully. They're best known for the roasted meats, but their entire menu is quite amazing. Today we had some seafood congee and a salted chicken clay pot rice. Both are nostalgic Cantonese fares that conjure up warm memories to any person who might have grown up in Canton, China or just spend time there. They've mastered personal size clay pot rice. And the congee is fantastic. Silky, tasty and perfect for a cold winter night . The ambience is relaxed and the service is friendly.

The duck is good here. The summer truffle chicken was even better. Sweet & savory . The veggies are a Cantonese favorite. This restaurant is operated by people speaking the Toishan dialect. They were the first immigrants from China during the Gold Rush boom in California and assisted with the building of the railroads. I enjoyed the food and sitting here listening to the banter of the staff as the duck was being chopped. The staff was polite and service was good. I noticed many of the tables were either partaking in the duck noodle soup or wonton noodle soup. Both are reasonably priced. They also have 2 more locations in Brooklyn. I can totally see myself coming back a few more trips for the noodle soups.

Horribly rude staff. Asked one question about the menu and they told me "this isn't that kind of restaurant " very condescendingly and then rushed my table out of the restaurant

Cozy restaurant known for their clay pot classics with a crispy layer of rice at the bottom and fluffy rice and toppings on top. Try the chicken or salted fish options. Kings also has other comfort foods like congee and rice noodles - great for a cold day. I like their consistency.
