This is a fine family-owned restaurant. I came here when it was raining, and had a wonderful bowl of pho. The egg rolls are also quite good. And I find that the broken rice which they say is a signature dish, it wasn't my favorite, but it was still quite good. The service here is great and the service is fast. Generous portions and good place for groups. I've been here twice I'd definitely come back again
Awesome food, pretty efficient and friendly service. The place is busy during dinner time, but it's spacious enough that we didn't feel on top of each other.
Tasty Vietnamese food. Very good rice dishes (Com Tam). Decent pho. Pretty good appetizers. Under new management, with larger dishes and new menus with new prices (up). The broken rice dishes are their specialty. Parking: You're supposed you be able to park at Hawaii Supermarket because they share the same building. It's nearly impossible during lunch and regular dinner times so street parking with a bit of walking is what we usually do. Do take note of the street parking hours.
I've been coming here for a while and always finish my bowl of Phở tái... Until last night. I received the bowl of Phở tái and something didn't seem right. Did the recipe or cook change? It seemed as if there were several cups of oil poured into the broth and there was clear separation of the broth and oil which i've never seen before. My lips were left greasy after taking a sample sip and my spoon was dripping with oil after taking it from the bowl. I flagged the waiter and was brought back another bowl. The broth did not taste right. Noodles were also soggy and the meat was all over done, and there wasn't much of it this time either. Had to leave it unfinished and had to pay the full price. The other food was okay but the grilled pork was also fattier than usual. Very sad to move on but I won't be coming back.
Friday 12/15/23 Dinner at King Com Tam in San Gabriel with my friend-colleague Erwin. Introducing him to eating Vietnamese green leaf wraps with 10+ different meats. Is so savory, light, and refreshing. It so delicious without the bloating from eating too of meats and carbohydrates and even have rooms to have a large durian smoothie at Lee’s sandwich. I recommend trying this restaurant for their green leaf wraps. ————— This is one of my favorite restaurants for Vietnamese broken rice with grilled meats. The foods are so delicious and reasonably priced. There are many dishes on the menu where I can come numerous times and still haven’t try everything on the menu. The service staffs work fast and are limited in English. The restaurant has remodeled a few years ago and now has a more modern decors and good air conditioning system. I still return to satisfied my cravings. I highly recommend this restaurant. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
This place is very easy to find with great parking across the street. Food was very delicious with reasonable prices. Portions were large and the veggies and toppings were very fresh. Great place to find while walking or even driving. I recommend to get their egg rolls and Bun Bo Hue soup noodle.
