If I could give ZERO ☆'s, I would! *FYI* If you buy chicken, fries or anything fried from the Austin KFC, know that your food may have been sitting in a heating case for 2-3 HOURS!! I made an online order on 4/16/2024, at 8:25pm, for the 8 piece meal, with fries and Mac 'n' Cheese. At 8:26 I called to request fresh chicken & fries, and was told that they "pulled chicken at 7:00 and the fryers were down. I said, "so all I can get is hour & a half old chicken"? And was told "no, we pulled chicken at 7", to which I replied; "well, it is 8:26, so it is basically an hour and a half old". I told him to not make my order, as I would like to cancel it. He informed me that I would have to cancel on the app. I thanked him and went back into the app. Nether I nor my daughter could see any way to cancel the order in the App, so after a couple of mins, I called back. The same guy answered and I asked him if he could guide me with canceling the order. He informed me that he was not familiar with the App and could not help me. I then asked him; "your store closes at 10pm, correct"??, to which he responded "yes". I asked: "so people who come in at 9;30-9:45'ish are given chicken that was "pulled" at 7pm???, making it 2 1/2 hours old or older??, to which he responded "yes, we are cleaning"! "Cleaning"??? With an hour and a half more of open time??!! That may be OK with some customers, but that disgusts me! PLEASE be aware, that your chicken may have been sitting in a warmer for 2.5 plus hours when you order from Austin KFC!!
